ERNE SWIMRUN 2027 – PARTICIPANT WAIVER

By registering for and participating in Erne SWIMRUN 2027, I confirm that I have read and understood this Participant Waiver and agree to its terms.

1. PARTICIPATION

I understand that Erne SWIMRUN involves open-water swimming, running and movement through natural outdoor terrain and that participation involves inherent risks.

I confirm that I am physically capable of participating and that I have undertaken appropriate preparation and training for the event.

I understand that I am responsible for making my own decision about whether I am fit and prepared to participate.

2. RISKS

I acknowledge that risks may include, but are not limited to:

• Open-water swimming
• Cold water and changing water conditions
• Slips, trips and falls
• Uneven, rough or muddy terrain
• Rocks, roots and natural debris
• Water entry and exit
• Contact with other participants
• Changing weather conditions
• Traffic or other external hazards
• Injury, illness or physical exhaustion

I understand that natural and weather conditions may change during the event.

3. FOLLOWING SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

I agree to follow the instructions of race officials, marshals, safety personnel and venue staff.

I understand that I may be required to stop participating if continuing would create a safety risk to myself or others.

If I retire from the race, I agree to report to a marshal and follow the instructions provided.

4. EMERGENCIES AND MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

I authorise the event team to take reasonable steps to obtain emergency medical assistance for me if required during the event.

I understand that the organiser may share relevant information with emergency services or medical personnel where necessary to protect my health and safety.

5. PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY

I accept responsibility for my own participation and agree to take reasonable care of myself and others.

I confirm that the information I provide during registration, including relevant emergency and medical information, is accurate to the best of my knowledge.

6. PERSONAL INSURANCE

I understand that event insurance does not provide me with personal accident or personal injury insurance.

I am responsible for arranging any personal accident, sports or other insurance that I consider appropriate for my participation.

7. LIABILITY

I acknowledge the risks associated with participating in Erne SWIMRUN and agree to participate responsibly and in accordance with the event rules and safety instructions.

Nothing in this Participant Waiver is intended to exclude or restrict any liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

8. TEAM PARTICIPANTS

If I am participating as part of a team, I understand that both team members must comply with the event rules and remain together throughout the race.

9. AGREEMENT

By accepting this waiver during registration, I confirm that:

• I have read and understood this Participant Waiver.
• I understand the risks associated with participation.
• I agree to follow the Erne SWIMRUN Race Rules and safety instructions.
• I confirm that the information I provide during registration is accurate.
• I agree to the Erne SWIMRUN 2027 Terms & Conditions.
