Photography & Media Policy

1. Photography and Video at Erne SWIMRUN

Photography and video may be taken during Erne SWIMRUN by the event organiser, appointed photographers, videographers, media partners and other authorised event personnel.

The purpose is to document the event and capture the atmosphere, participants, landscape and experiences that make Erne SWIMRUN what it is.

2. How Images May Be Used

Images and video recorded at the event may be used for:

• Erne SWIMRUN’s website
• Social media
• Promotional and marketing materials
• Event reports and publications
• Future event promotion
• Sponsor and partner communications relating to Erne SWIMRUN
• Historical documentation of the event

Images may remain online as part of the historical record of the event.

3. Participants

By entering Erne SWIMRUN, participants acknowledge that photography and video may take place during the event.

Participants should expect to appear in general event photography, crowd scenes, race footage and other recordings made during the event.

4. Specific Requests

If a participant has a particular concern about the use of an image or video in which they are identifiable, they should contact the organiser.

We will consider reasonable requests relating to the use of identifiable images, taking into account the circumstances, the purpose of the image and our legal obligations.

5. Children and Young People

Erne SWIMRUN is an adult race.

Where children or young people are present at the event as spectators, volunteers or in another capacity, reasonable care will be taken when creating and publishing identifiable photography or video.

6. Official Race Photography

Official event photography may be provided by appointed photographers or media partners.

Photographers may operate at different locations around the course, including the start, finish, running sections, swimming sections and event village.

7. Participant Photography

Participants may take photographs and video for personal use, provided that doing so does not interfere with the race, safety arrangements or other participants.

Commercial use of images taken at the event requires appropriate permission.

8. Media and Partners

Erne SWIMRUN may work with photographers, videographers, media organisations and event partners.

Where third parties are authorised to create or use event content, they will be expected to respect applicable privacy and data protection requirements.
